Peterborough Milton Golf Club

Non Members and Visitors to Peterborough Milton Golf Club are welcome to come along and use our Driving Range. You will need to sign in at the Professionals Shop and purchase your Driving Range Tokens in order to use the ‘token only’ Ball Dispenser.

All golfers visiting the area are invited to explore the Peterborough Milton’s new £75,000 Practice Ground and Driving Range which has been partially funded by a grant from Sport England East. Work to improve the golf club’s existing 10-acre practice ground started in March 2008 and the new, upgraded facility is now complete. The improved facility boasts new driving bays, a practice green and bunkers designed to help players perfect their short game. It is hoped that the new facility will help make practice sessions more enjoyable as the new driving range has removed the need for players to have to collect their own balls. Instead they can practice hitting 25 or 50 balls and then walk away.  

Derek Mankelow, Club Captain and, Ian Kerr, Vice Captain and Junior Organiser agreed, the new facility will make golfing much more enjoyable for all members and visitors, and encourage them to practise more. The facility will help players to raise their game and help us to boost their standards play as well as attract newcomers of all ages.

The improvement work was partially funded by a £50,000 grant from the Sport England East Community Club Development Programme combined with a further £25,000 raised by the club.

Chris Perks, Regional Director of Sport England, said: “It is fantastic news that the new practice ground at Peterborough Milton Golf Club is now complete and open for use. The new facilities will not only benefit existing members but will also help the club with its ongoing campaign to introduce new people to the sport and to develop talented golfers.”

Peterborough Milton, set in the grounds of Fitzwilliam Estate, is both an English Golf Union GolfMark and Sport England Clubmark accredited club. Both accreditations are national schemes which identify and recognise junior and beginner friendly golf facilities.
